New Delhi/Mumbai/ Vijayawada (AP), Oct 10 (ANI): Devotees flocked New Delhi's famous Jhandewalan Temple and Kalkaji Temple to offer prayers on the first day of Navratri. Prayers were also offered at Mumba Devi Temple in Mumbai early morning. Large number of devotees thronged at Kanaka Durga Temple in Andhra Pradesh's Vijayawada. They offered prayers to Goddess Durga. The first day of Navratri is dedicated to Maa Shailputri, one of nine forms of Goddess Durga. Navratri is considered as most auspicious time of every year. The nine-day festival is celebrated with full fervor across the country. Special arrangements have been made in temple for the devotees.
