Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh inspects relief operations in flood-affected areas

Shahkot (Punjab), Aug 22 (ANI): Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh inspected rescue operations in flood-affected area in Punjab's Shahkot. He announced that government would canalise all the rivers of the state, taking technical support from World Bank (WB) and Asian Development Bank (ADB). Punjab CM also announced to the villagers that relief teams in flood-affected areas in Sultanpur Lodhi (Kapurthala district) and Jalandhar. Each team will comprise officers of health, civil supply and animal husbandry department that will ensure timely supply of food, medicines and fodder for affected families.
