Shimla (HP), Feb 8 (ANI): The sale of heating appliances this winter in hill town of Shimla has gone done by up to 50% due to continuous dry spell. The temperature is below the normal mark but it's still above the temperature usually recorded in the town during winters. During winters people used to buy electrical appliances to keep themselves warm but the dry weather and comparatively high temperature has kept people away from electrical heat appliance shops. The dry winter has hit the business of such shops and showrooms. People said they had enough of sun during winters which make heaters unnecessary in the town. Rakesh, a local trader said that Shimla has received snowfall very few times in comparison to last few years. The winter in the state is witnessing dry spell and precipitation has been over 90% less from the previous years.
