Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh), Sep 11 (ANI): Southern Air Command in-charge B Suresh along with team of officials met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in Amaravati on Tuesday. Both the dignitaries discussed five different Indian Air Force enclaves in Andhra Pradesh including at Donakonda, Vijayawada, Rajahmundry, Bhogapuram and Nellore. The Air force delegation requested the Chief Minister for allotment of necessary land at the respective airports. They expressed interest to extend the Suryalanka airbase in addition to the existing 1350 acres. The Air Force officials sought 800 acres of land at Donakonda, 25 acres at Vijayawada, 10 acres at Bhogapuram, 55 acres at Nellore Airport to develop Air Force stations. The Chief Minister appealed the Air force officials to extend cooperation for clearance of Kuppam airport, for which they agreed. CM Naidu assured to extend cooperation for allotment of land and asked the Principal secretary Industry and Investments Ajay Jain to coordinate with the Air force officials. Secretary to the Chief Minister G. Sai Prasad and other dignitaries were also present in the meeting.
