Bhubaneswar (Odisha), Nov 29 (ANI): Odhisha wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) claimed that the victims of Cyclone Titli have not received compensation for their loss. Odisha BJP spokesperson Lekhashree Samantsinghar while briefing the media said, "The government is claiming that they have done 100 percent reconstruction of the houses, they have given all kinds of compensations, build roads, canals etc. But when we went there, none of the houses have been reconstructed, people are still living in broken houses, they have not recieved nay compensation for their loss. The government has only given 1000 rupees, somewhere 2000 rupees. Government was supposed to give 50 kg of rice to each family but they have received only 40 kg. The government has cut 10 kg from each family." She added, "Even the local MLA Usha Devi has not visited the place to see the victims. The state government is doing a huge conspiracy to deprive these people and looting the money which is meant for the poor." A five member team of the Odisha-wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party, led by legislator Rabi Naik and Pradeep Purohit, on November 28 visited areas affected by Cyclone Titli to assess the relief work undertaken by the state government.
