Citizenship Amendment Bill: 'On road mass indefinite agitation' by MANPAC hits Manipur

Imphal (Manipur), Feb 08 (ANI): With the beginning of 'on road mass indefinite agitation' on February 6 which is initiated by Manipur People against Citizenship Amendment Bill, 2016 (MANPAC) to protest for the withdrawal of contentious CAB hits Manipur's Imphal on Thursday. Protesters blocked traffic movement in several parts of Manipur's capital city Imphal on Thursday. Manipur People against Citizenship Amendment Bill (MANPAC) had called for an 'on road mass indefinite agitation' on February 6. Mass public protest continues against CAB by Manipur people for the second day. Protestors confronted with the police who were blocking the National Highway-2 (Indo-Burma road) which is behind Kakwa police Station. To disperse the protestors from spot highway police throw tear gas shells on them. Police intervened and prevented the protesters from marching further leading to some heated arguments.
