People are now open to different kinds of cinema: Taapsee Pannu on 'Badla'

Mumbai, Mar 30 (ANI): Recently, Bollywood actor Taapsee Pannu attended an award show and dazzled the red carpet. While interacting with media persons, she talked about her movie 'Badla' which is a mystery thriller. She said, "I am happy because when I signed it up no one was in movie and it was a kind of test of conviction for me. It has nothing like mainstream Bollywood cinema. It has no song, no action and no comedy. In fact, first one and half hour of the film was across the table in a room. So, it was little scary for us to see audience's reaction and response. But the kind of response we got, I think now we can really push the envelope and people are open to different kinds of cinema. Now, we have that validation." 'Badla' was Taapsee's second opposite Amitabh Bachchan and the movie performed well at the box office. Taapsee is currently shooting for her next movie 'Saand Ki Aankh'.
